I’d like to welcome Mark Adams to Nashville Fishing Guides.
Mark is one of the premier bass guides in the Nashville area. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, along with a very pleasant personality, good equipment, great boat and a serious desire to catch fish and to put clients on fish.
Mark WILL put you on fish and almost always get them to bite. He knows the bass’ tendencies for each season, what food sources they key on at certain times of the year. Mark has spent a number of years learning the bass habitats and locales they frequent throughout the changing of the seasons. Plus, he knows J Percy Priest and Old Hickory inside out. Not only will Mark take you out fishing, he is more than willing to impart his knowledge of the quarry you seek. He can teach a novice how to cast, where to cast and what to cast to better improve the odds of catching fish.
And he is willing to let the client “lead” if the client so desires. Some bass fisherman just need a boat and gear that they don’t have with them on the trip.
When you are fishing with Mark, you will be using his personal fishing gear, the gear he uses in every tournament he fishes. You won’t be using second rate “client grade tackle”. He wants you to succeed in catching fish and he gives you the absolute best equipment and baits, baits that he throws when he is pleasure fishing or tournament fishing. There are no short cuts or “second rates” with Mark.
If you are visiting the Nashville area for a conference, a vacation, or just here with a spouse who has business, and want a pleasurable morning or afternoon fishing trip, call Nashville Fishing Guides at 615-635-3783 to set up your trip!
But reserve your date early as the slots fill up quickly starting in March.
Nashville has a wealth of great Bass fishing, and Percy Priest Lake has the fish population to make for some productive fishing trips.
Merv Johnson of the Nashville Bass Fishing Guides (pic left) lays out their guiding process below:
Primarily we guide our clients out of the Fate Sanders Marina near Smyrna, and deploy anything and everything to get onto the fish.
Early morning may find us throwing close to shore with spooks and buzz baits. While later in the day we may go off shore and a bit deeper, off of major points and ply around deep water channels with different lures like crank baits and other rigs.
As always, different weather conditions and the general time of day may call for different approaches to what type of structure we put our clients on.
Like all fish, Bass tend to have set patterns that are fairly easy to predict. With over a decade guiding on the lake, we generally know their sanctuaries and travel routes to and from their chosen feeding areas. Large Bass that have gotten old and smart generally don’t travel far from their favorite haunts. Beyond the spawning season they may not travel over 300 feet in any given direction. Yeah, we look at Bass fishing as more of a science than a sport. It serves us well by getting our clients on more and bigger fish.
Tournament Grade Bass Fishing Guides
With some years plying Percy Priest Lake for big Bass, veteran fisherman Merv Johnson of the Nashville Bass Fishing Guides has learned a thing or two about its Bass population. He knows where the big fish are most likely to be at any given time of the day or year.
He has fished the lake in all seasons and conditions and shares this knowledge with Pro Tournament fishermen who want that extra edge right before tournament time.
Call Merv of Nashville Bass Fishing Guides team today if you need to scout Percy Priest Lake for an upcoming Professional Tournament. They will provide their professionally rigged boats, baits, and knowledge of the Bass areas and patterns to make your day of competition as good as they possibly can.
