Been so busy, I forget to post some fishing reports so folks will know whats going on out at the lake (J Percy Priest).
It’s been a really hot summer and that slows the fishing down considerably.
The hybrid bite has been tough as of late, as has been the stripers.
I haven’t been crappie fishing since May but if I were to go now, I’d be trolling Bandit 300’s at 1.8-2.2 MPH in 25′ of water.
The hybrids and stripers are hitting umbrella rigs with 6″ white or chartreuse twister tails.
There is some live bait action EARLY in the morning but after 7 AM, I switch to U-Rigs.
Happy fishing and stay cool and hydrated!
Here is Robert Dubose with his personal best striper from Priest. If he comes back in the spring, we’ll get him some new personal bests!
